Small Pig
A standing pig in reclaimed sheet steel, made to be placed somewhere specific — at the end of a console table, on a doorstep or at the edge of a planter. It is rounded through the body, with ears cut by hand and set at a tilt, and a curl of coiled wire for the tail.
The steel comes from Zimbabwean scrap yards and end-of-life material. Each pig is cut, beaten over a form and welded by hand, then finished in chalk white worked back across the shoulders, flanks and haunches so the metal shows through beneath. The snout and trotters are left dark. On the larger sizes, panel seams and rivet heads remain visible along the flanks — the construction is part of what you are looking at rather than something buried under paint.
Weld lines and small breaks in the paint are part of the making process. No two pigs come out the same.
Strong alone and particularly good in a stepped group of all three sizes.

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. When displayed outdoors, the surface will continue to weather and develop a natural patina. Position in a sheltered spot and bring indoors during prolonged wet weather if you wish to slow the process.
