A dachshund stretched into a planting trough, handmade in Zimbabwe from reclaimed steel. At 73 cm from nose to tail, its exaggerated body becomes the container, ready for herbs, alpines, sedums, trailing thyme or low bedding to form the dog’s coat.
The characterful head is shaped from individual steel panels with a pale muzzle, dark crown, punched eyes, a small cut tongue and long loose ears. Four short legs lift the deep open trough clear of the ground, while a straight tail rises at the rear. The unpainted, oxidised surface carries warm rust and bronze tones, with the natural marks and colour variation of weathered metal.
Made for patios, terraces, gravel paths and doorsteps, or for a conservatory or porch when used with an inner liner or pots.

Care
