A small standing pig in reclaimed sheet steel, built to be put somewhere specific - the end of a console table, a doorstep, the edge of a planter. Rounded through the body, ears cut by hand and set at a tilt, a curl of coiled wire for the tail.
The steel comes from Zimbabwean scrap yards and end-of-life material. Each pig is cut, beaten over a form and welded by hand, then finished in a chalk white that's worked back across the shoulders, flanks and legs so the metal shows through underneath. The snout is left bare. It arrives already looking like it has stood in a farmyard for a while, which is the point.
Weld lines and small breaks in the paint are part of how these are made. No two come out quite the same.
13cm long, 6cm wide, 7cm high. About the length of a postcard - small enough for a windowsill, sturdy enough for outside.
Fine outdoors, where it will weather gently and improve for it. Good in threes.
