Hand-built in Zimbabwe from reclaimed steel, the Proud Rooster stands alert with his head raised and tail held high. The largest bird in the poultry collection, he has a substantial presence and a beautifully layered surface made from individually cut, overlapping metal feathers.
Deep near-black steel across the breast, neck and back warms into copper-bronze through the wings and tail, finished with a vivid red comb and wattle. Visible rivets, welds and natural tonal variation celebrate the reclaimed material and ensure every rooster is subtly individual.
