Cat Planter Stand

A cat drawn in a single flowing line of reclaimed steel, hand-forged in Zimbabwe. Rather than modelling the animal in solid panels, the maker bends and welds reinforcing bar into a light, graphic silhouette that allows the garden—and its shadows—to show straight through.

Two triangular ears, an oval face and fine steel whiskers give the piece its character, while a confident curling tail completes the outline. At the centre, a welded ring cradles a standard terracotta plant pot so that trailing foliage reads like the cat’s coat.

A floor-standing piece for a patio, terrace, lawn, path edge, porch or conservatory. Ivy, trailing jasmine, mint and other spilling plants suit it especially well.

Care

Place on a stable surface and ensure the chosen pot sits securely within the ring. Use a saucer or liner indoors to protect surrounding surfaces. The steel will continue to weather naturally outdoors; wipe with a soft, dry cloth when required.
